EliteXC announced that they have added heavyweight Brett Rogers to their November 8th event at the Reno Events Center in Reno, Nevada.  The undefeated Rogers will be taking on Paul Buentello at the “Night of Champions” event, which will be airing on Showtime. Both fighters have agreed to the fight and contracts should be finalized by the end of the week.

FiveOuncesOfPain.com was the first to confirm the fight with Rogers’ trainer, Mike Reilly of Team Bison in St. Paul Minnesota.

Rogers had been pushing for a fight against company poster boy, Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson, since their altercation at a post-fight press conference last May, however EliteXC decided to put Rogers’ perfect 8-0 record up against the MMA journeyman instead.

Buentello (26-10) is coming off of a win against Gary Goodridge at “Affliction: Banned” in July. He was initially signed on to face Roy Nelson on Affliction’s second card in October, however due to Affliction’s rescheduling of the event, Buentello needed to find work elsewhere.

Here are the fighters Rumored to be on the “Night of Champions” card:

Chris Liguori vs TBD
Kaitlin Young vs. Sarah Kaufman
Fabricio Camoes vs. Ynes Edwards
Hector Lombard vs. Scott Smith
Brett Rogers vs. Paul Buentello
Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante vs. TBD (Possibly for Open Light Heavyweight Title)
Joey Villasenor vs. Robbie Lawler (EliteXC Middleweight Champion)
Nick Diaz vs. Eddie Alvarez (Open EliteXC Lightweight Title)
