Affliction: Day of Reckoning

Tom Atencio has said that he will not make any announcements until all the papers have been signed for Affliction’s second event, “Day of Reckoning.” It seems that he may not have to as Affliction’s own website has already put up graphics that show Fedor Emelianenko vs. Andrei Arlovski as well as the date of January 24th in Anaheim, California.

“Day of Reckoning” was originally scheduled for October 11th at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, but slow ticket sales and lack of public interest sparked Affliction to hold off and announce that they were teaming up with Boxing giant, Golden Boy Promotions.

Atencio was concerned that a January 17th event would be bad for Mixed Martial Arts as they would be competing with the UFC for Pay-Per-View dollars.
