On Tuesday’s edition of ABC’s “Good Morning America,” it was announced UFC flyweight Paige VanZant (pictured) will be a contestant on the 22nd seasons of “Dancing With The Stars.”
VanZant won’t be the only professional athlete looking to claim the mirrorball trophy. Current NFL superstars Antonio Brown, Super Bowl MVP Von Miller and former player Doug Flutie are also on this season of the popular dance show.
VanZant is the third UFC fighter to compete on DWTS. Hall of Famers Chuck Liddell was outed in week four of Season 9, while Randy Couture was booted in week three of Season 19. Unlike her male predecessors, however, VanZant does have a dance background.
“I’m gonna bring it all,” VanZant said. “I’m here to win. I’m going to bring the fight. I’m ready. It’s on.”
When asked if there’s any skills from the cage she can bring with her to the dance floor, VanZant suggested her competition is in trouble.
“Oh, there’s plenty,” she claimed. “There is. They’re in for it.”
VanZant will be partnered with Mark Ballas.
This season of DWTS premieres March 21 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
