To the surprise of nobody, former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones (pictured) is a heavy favorite to beat Ovince St Preux at UFC 197.
Jones is currently pegged as a significant 6-1 odds-on favorite to blast the former football player. OSP, who accepted the bout on 21 days’ notice after champion Daniel Cormier pulled out with an injury, checks in as a 4-1 longshot.
For whatever it’s worth, apparently not much since it’s getting lost in the hoopla of Jones’ return, the scrap is for the vacant UFC interim 205-pound belt.
Reigning flyweight king Demetrious Johnson is a 4-1 favorite to retain his title against
Henry Cejudo in the show’s co-featured attraction. Cejudo checks in as a 3-1 underdog.
While there are plenty of stars and significant fights on the card, the two featured bouts aren’t expected to be close.
MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada hosts UFC 197.
