The UFC held their first ever MMA event in Illinois last night at the Allstate Arena, and in usual UFC fashion, they went big. Not only did the UFC announce a sellout crowd of 15,359, but they also set an Allstate Arena gate record of $2.8 Million. UFC 90 breaks a long-standing 11 year record, which was previously held by the Wrestlemania 13 event the arena held in 1997.

UFC President Dana White announced these unofficial numbers last night at the UFC 90 post-fight press conference. The official attendance and revenue numbers will be released by the Illinois State Athletic Commission later on in the week.
