UFC Michael McDonald

With Michael Chiesa bowing out of UFC Fight Night 91’s main event against Tony Ferguson with a blown back, featherweights Michael McDonald and John Lineker has been bumped to the show’s featured attraction.

McDonald has alternated between wins and losses over his past five outings. The promising 25-year-old ended a two-year hiatus due to various hand injuries in January’s submission win over Masanori Kanehara.

Lineker has won eight of his last nine fights, including four straight. The Brazilian’s lone blemish during his current run came in a decision defeat to Ali Bagautinov in 2014.

Ferguson now faces UFC rookie Landon Vannata in the event.

The July 13 event goes down inside Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Fox Sports 1 will broadcast the main card live.

Here is the card’s current lineup:

Scott Holtzman vs. Cody Pfister

Josh Samman vs. Tim Boetsch

Keita Nakamura vs. Kyle Noke

Louis Smolka vs. Ben Nguyen

John Lineker vs. Michael McDonald
