NFL Arthur Jones

What is in the water at the Jones household? Just 16 days after UFC interim light heavyweight champion Jon Jones was pulled from UFC 200 after two banned substances were found in his system, big brother, Arthur Jones (pictured), defensive end for the Indianapolis Colts, was suspended by the NFL Friday for the first four games of the upcoming season for performance-enhancing drugs.

It is unknown what PED(s) Arthur was taking. It would be very interesting if the 30-year-old was caught with the same estrogen blockers (hydroxy-clomiphene and letrozole metabolite) that Jon was busted for.

MMA fans may remember Arthur in previous “UFC Primetime” and “UFC Countdown” shows. Arthur would often stay with Jon in Albuquerque during the off-season and train MMA alongside his younger bro.

Jon once said he thought Arthur could be UFC heavyweight champion.

Arthur has yet to publicly address his suspension.

Jon, meanwhile, has denied any wrongdoing. The troubled 29-year-old believes he tested positive due to one or more of his supplements being tainted.

“Bones” was slated to headline UFC 200 on July 9 against light heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier in a title unification bout. Jones was yanked from the historic show just three days before showtime due to his failed drug exam.

Cormier went on to dominate former middleweight king Anderson Silva on only two days’ notice in a non-title 205-pound tilt.

If found guilty, Jon will be suspended for at least two years.

Youngest Jones brother, Chandler, is also no stranger to controversy. The former New England Patriot defensive end showed up shirtless to the Foxboro Police Department in January begging for help. He reportedly knelt down on the ground in a pose suggesting he was surrendering and began praying.

Because Chandler hadn’t broken any laws, officers couldn’t arrest him. He was subsequently hospitalized where synthetic marijuana was found in his system.

The Patriots traded the stellar sacker to the Arizona Cardinals two months later.

I’ll tell ya, those Jones boys are something else…
