UFC star Nick Diaz (pictured) was jumped by four men at Hyde nightclub in Las Vegas early Wednesday morning.
According to TMZ Sports, Diaz went to the restroom at approximately 2:30AM and accidentally bumped into another partygoer. Diaz reportedly apologized because he wanted to stay out of trouble, but his plea fell on deaf ears, particularly because three other men inserted themselves into the action.
The four men proceeded to jump Diaz and their rumble spilled over onto the Bellagio’s casino floor. As expected, Diaz fought back but suffered a hard hit to the head.
Club representatives claim the attackers were swinging chairs and fighting with club and casino staffers before being removed by security.
“I didn’t start it. They didn’t know who I was,” Diaz told TMZ.
In true 209 fashion, Diaz will not look to press charges because, per Diaz, “They got the worst of it.”
Diaz was in Vegas to corner younger brother, Nate Diaz, against Conor McGregor this past Saturday at UFC 202. However, the Nevada Athletic Commission didn’t allow Nick near any fight activities because he’s still suspended, even though his 18-month marijuana ban expired at the beginning of this month.
According to the NAC, Diaz has failed to pay $75,000 of his $100,000 fine from his positive drug test.
