Fresh off avenging March’s shocking submission loss to Nate Diaz, UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor (pictured) is once again in a position to call the shots.

UFC president Dana White said prior to McGregor taking this month’s close split decision victory over Diaz that McGregor’s next outing will be a title unification bout against a healthy interim featherweight champ Jose Aldo or a 145-pound title defense. If not, he would force his golden boy to vacate the crown.

McGregor said a rematch against Aldo, who he dusted in merely 13 seconds just nine months ago to initially unify the featherweight belt, wasn’t motivating to him. A scrap against lightweight champ Eddie Alvarez would be more interesting because it would allow McGregor to try and become the UFC’s first two-way champ, something he set out to do before Nate Diaz came into the picture courtesy of an injury to then-lightweight champ Rafael Dos Anjos at UFC 196.

Speaking of Diaz, a trilogy against Mr. 209 is also a possibility – albeit a longshot – for his next contest. White already said he is not currently interested in arranging a rubber match between the two, regardless of what the fans might say.

Alvarez appears to be the most intriguing choice because he’s fresh blood, and it’s a weight class McGregor has yet to compete at in the UFC but says it’s where he feels most comfortable.

Regardless, of McGregor’s top three options for his next fight, he will be an odds-on favorite to win. Another guarantee is that “Notorious” will make bank for his services.

Here are the current wagering lines for McGregor’s top three choices (courtesy of Bovada.lv):
