UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic might be making his first title defense when he faces Alistair Overeem on Saturday, but let’s be honest, many of those who will be shelling out $54.95 on the pay-per-view broadcast want to watch former WWE superstar turned MMA fighter Phil “CM Punk” Brooks (pictured) fight for real for the first time.
With zero real fight experience, Brooks will be a massive underdog in his MMA debut against Mickey Gall. Brooks is currently more than a 3-1 longshot against Gall, who is perfect through two professional bouts. Gall, meanwhile, checks in as a heavy 4.5-1 odds-on favorite to blast Brooks.
Any takers on Brooks? Any chance the UFC paid Gall to take a dive?
Many will tune in to see what the 37-year-old Brooks can do.
Oh, and just in case you were wondering, Miocic is a slight -145 favorite to retain his title against Overeem in the featured attraction. Overeem comes in just behind as a +115 underdog.
Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio hosts UFC 203.
