UFC Joanna Jedrzejczyk

Nearly 77 percent of UFC 205’s lineup has been set, though the promotion still hasn’t secured a main event for their highly anticipated debut inside New York’s famed Madison Square Garden.

On Friday, the UFC announced a slew of scraps for the November 12 card, most notably a strawweight tilt between reigning queen Joanna Jedrzejczyk (pictured) and Karolina Kowalkiewicz.

Jedrzejczyk is perfect through 12 professional outings, with her last three being of the title defense variety. “Joanna Champion” is fresh off July’s unanimous decision victory over bitter rival Claudia Gadelha.

Through 10 fights, Kowalkiewicz’s resume is also unblemished. July’s split decision win over Rose Namajunas at UFC 201 sealed her top contender deal.

In addition, former bantamweight champ Miesha Tate will look to rebound off her title loss to Amanda Nunes against Raquel Pennington in the event.

As UFC 205’s roster presently stands, welterweight champ Tyron Woodley vs. Stephen Thompson sits atop MSG’s marquee, followed by Jedrzejczyk vs. Kowalkiewicz. Paging Conor McGregor…

Here is the card’s current lineup:

Lyman Good vs. Belal Muhammad

Liz Carmouche vs. Katlyn Chookagian

Tim Boetsch vs. Rafael Natal

Frankie Edgar vs. Jeremy Stephens

Thiago Alves vs. Jim Miller

Miesha Tate vs. Raquel Pennington

Donald Cerrone vs. Kelvin Gastelum

Rashad Evans vs. Tim Kennedy

Karolina Kowalkiewicz vs. Joanna Jedrzejczyk (UFC strawweight champion)

Stephen Thompson vs. Tyron Woodley (UFC welterweight champion)
