Dana White Addresses ‘Cyborg’s’ Failed Drug Test

To say Cris “Cyborg” Justino has never been one of UFC president Dana White’s (pictured) BFFs would be an understatement. White is the same guy who just two years ago said Justino had jacked herself up on so much steroids that “she looked like Wanderlei Silva in a dress and heels.”

The president of a $4 billion dollar organization said that. Publicly. And laughed as though he hadn’t said anything wrong.

So it was no surprise that White didn’t come to Justino’s defense, or at least gather as much information from Justino as he could before discussing her situation with TMZ.com.

“First of all, I was offering these fights at 145 pounds,” White said. “First fight, she had eight weeks to get ready. Second fight, she had 11 weeks to get ready. And third fight, she just turned down, and I thought it was strange.

“So she was turning down all these fights. Not so strange now.”

White’s comment would never be mistaken for words of support.

Following White’s interview, Justino revealed she started using Spironolactone as part of a therapeutic treatment administered by her doctor on September 26 to help her recover from a horrid weight cut to fight Lina Länsberg in a 140-pound catchweight contest two days prior.

Justino is confident that after the USADA and her doctor discuss the situation, as well as obtain a retroactive therapeutic use exemption they have just applied for, her name will be cleared.

White, however, isn’t so sure.

“This will be the second time [she’s failed a drug test],” White said. “I don’t know, I can’t answer that. We’ll have to see how this thing plays out.”

When asked if Ronda Rousey, who has long been linked to a potential super fight with Justino, is now sitting back with a big I-told-you-so smile on her face, White wouldn’t be surprised.

“Yeah, Ronda will probably say that,” White said. “I’m sure a lot of people will say that.”

Including him, most likely.
