It appears that all the backlash following his UFC 90 performance against Patrick Cote has gotten to the best fighter in the world. Anderson “The Spider” Silva, who is normally known for him calm demeanor, seems as though he’s a little ticked off. “He’s flipping out. He wants to fight again, like on Nov. 15,” UFC President Dana White told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Dana White has never been one to not put on fights, especially when one of his top guys is calling for one. It’s unrealistic however for White to find a suitable opponent for Silva in such a short time frame.
“He’s pissed about his performance and he wants to fight again immediately,” White continued.
Finding a sub-par opponent for Silva for the November 15th card at this point would be a waste of a fight, and really wouldn’t prove much if Silva is looking to make a statement. The wiser move would be for the UFC to wait for UFC 92 in December or for either UFC 93 or UFC 94, which are both scheduled for January.
