Ring rust, shming rust. Despite taking more than a three year “break” from MMA, former UFC welterweight king Georges St-Pierre (pictured) is an early betting favorite to take Michael Bisping’s UFC middleweight crown in his return to action.
According to UFC play-by-play announcer Jon Anik, St-Pierre has opened as a slight -130 odds-on favorite to beat the Brit. Bisping, meanwhile, checks in closely behind as a even-money bet.

While the fight was officially announced Wednesday by the UFC, they did not specify when and where the pair will dance.
It will be interesting to see what kind of movement there will be on the betting lines as the fight draws near. Home cage advantage, Canada for St-Pierre or England for Bisping, could saw things significantly.
Regardless, my guess is that St-Pierre will emerge as an even larger favorite, so place your bets now if you’re planning on playing GSP.
