The UFC will be launching their fourth women’s division when they crown the victor of “The Ultimate Fighter 26.”
The UFC announced Wednesday their 26th season of the reality show will exclusively feature female flyweight fighters. The winner of the tournament will become the UFC’s inaugural 125-pound champion.
Women currently on the UFC’s roster, as well as unsigned prospects, will be allowed to throw their names in the hat for the show.
Tryouts are scheduled for Tuesday, May 23 in Las Vegas, Nevada. TUF 26 will begin filming in July and premiere on FS1 later this year.
The UFC currently has three women’s divisions: strawweight (115 pounds), bantamweight (135 pounds) and freshly created featherweight (145 pounds) divisions.
