To say that Strikeforce is doing everything in their power to ensure that Bobby Lashley makes his debut at “Strikeforce: Miami” would be an understatement.

With only 10 days before the curtain is drawn, Strikeforce has been relentlessly scouring the planet to pair Lashley up with a suitable opponent inside the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida.

Jimmy Ambriz was the on again-off again partner for Lashley but now that he’s off the books, MMA veteran Wes Sims appears to be the answer Strikeforce has been searching for.

Jeremy Botter of Heavy.com was the first to break the news via his Twitter page tweeting, “Bobby Lashley vs. Wes Sims in the works.”

The January 30th card is pretty deep, especially if you consider that Jay Hieron will meet Joe Riggs on the non-televised portion of the Showtime broadcast, but adding the star power of Lashley would definitely give it a much needed boost.

Here are the fighters rumored for the extravaganza:

Preliminary Bouts:

David Gomez vs. Craig Oxley
Sabah Homasi vs. John Kelly
Pablo Alfonso vs. Marcos da Matta
Jay Hieron vs. Joe Riggs

Main Bouts:

Bobby Lashley vs. Wes Sims
Herschel Walker vs. Greg Nagy
Melvin Manhoef vs. Robbie Lawler
Marloes Coenen vs. Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos (Strikeforce Women’s Champion)
Nick Diaz vs. Marius Zaromskis (Open Welterweight Title)
