Middleweight fighter Joey Villasenor has just signed a four-fight deal with Strikeforce, which guarantees that he’ll fight three times a year. If you don’t believe us, just ask Villasenor himself.
“Smoking” Joe announced the news via a MySpace post late Wednesday night and also posted video of him actually signing the contract.
Below is an excerpt of what Villasenor wrote on his MySpace bulletin:
“I just want all of you to know that I’ve just signed a brand new 4 fight deal with Strikeforce! My first fight will be in mid to late March and I am super excited to get back in the cage an do what I love.”
Villasenor owns an impressive 27-6 record and is perfect through his last four bouts. In his last fight, he competed against Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos where he took home a narrow split decision victory.
