It’s the Big Apple, so it’s only fitting the UFC goes big in their return to the NYC.
On Tuesday, the promotion announced strawweight queen Joanna Jedrzejczyk (pictured) will defend her throne against Rose Namajuans at UFC 217. This marks the show’s third title tilt.
The November 4 event goes down inside Madison Square Garden in New York.
Jedrzejczyk will be looking to notch her sixth straight successful title defense. The Polish fighter owns a perfect 14-0 professional record. Her last four wins have come via unanimous decision, so she might be overdue for a finish.
Namajunas is victorious in four of her past five outings. The 25-year-old most recently submitted Michelle Waterson in April.
The ladies will be opening for bantamweight champ Cody Garbrant and TJ Dillashaw. Middleweight champion Michael Bisping and Georges St-Pierre get top billing on the marquee.
