With just three days until their WEC 36 event, the organization has just announced yet another change to the card’s lineup. American Top Team fighter Rafael Dias has agreed to step in and face Danny Castillo on just 72 hours notice.  Castillo’s previous opponent, Ed Ratcliff, was forced to withdraw from the bout for undisclosed reasons.  The WEC has had difficulty solidifying the card, as this is the second last-minute change that they have made in as many days.

MMAWeekly.com was able to confirm with Dias’ camp that the submission expert has agreed to the fight. Dias currently holds an 11-4-1 professional record, primarily in smaller MMA organizations. The Brazilian has fought in Bodog Fights and the IFL in the past.

Earlier this week, Alex Schoenauer injured his hamstring and was forced to pull out of his fight against Steve Steinbeiss. UFC veteran Carmelo Marrero is stepping in to face Steinbeiss on just five days notice.

Here is the lineup for WEC 36:

Preliminary Bouts:

Yoshiro Maeda vs. Rani Yayha
Danny Castillo vs. Rafael Dias
Steve Steinbeiss vs. Carmelo Marrero
Jose Aldo vs. Jonathan Brookins
David Avellan vs. Aaron Simpson

Main Bouts:

Donald Cerrone vs. Rob McCullough
Jake Roshold vs. Danillo Villefort
Lenard Garcia vs. Jens Pulver
Chael Sonnen vs. Paulo Filho (WEC Middleweight Champion)
Mike Brown vs. Urijah Faber (WEC Featherweight Champion)
