All of the fighters slated to compete at tomorrow’s WEC 36 event tipped the scales at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida today. Unfortunately multiple fighters, including two involved in the night’s title bouts, failed to make their required weights. Mike Brown came in at 145.5 pounds, however was able to lose the extra half pound on his second attempt. Unfortunately it was a different story for Middleweight champ Paulo Filho.
Filho came in an astonishing seven pounds over the 185 pound limit. After given an addition two hours to try and make the required weight, he as only able to get down to 189 pounds, and now his bout against Chael Sonnen will be a 3Round, non-title matchup.You can catch the main bouts airing LIVE tomorrow on the Versus Network at 8PM EST.
