The WEC has announced the addition a featherweight bout to their WEC 37 event on December 3rd. Cub Swanson and Hiroyuki Takaya will face off at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. They will most likely be competing on the televised portion of the event, which can be seen LIVE on the Versus Network starting at 9 PM EST. The card will be headlined by WEC bantamweight champion Miguel Torres defending his title against Manny Tapia.

Swanson hasn’t fought for the WEC in almost a year. He has bounced around in other MMA promotions since his loss to Jens Pulver at WEC 31 last December.

Takaya lost to Leonard Garcia at WEC 32 back in February, his only fight for the promotion. The Japanese fighter has collected two wins since the loss, and couldn’t turn down the opportunity to face a fighter of Swanson’s caliber.

Here are the fighters Rumored to be competing on the night’s event:

Scott Jorgensen vs. TBD
Bart Palaszewski vs. Alex Karalexis
Akitoshi Tamura vs. Wagnney Fabiano
Cub Swanson vs. Hiroyuki Takaya
