Kang to Debut at UFC 93

Newly signed UFC middleweight Denis Kang will make his Octagon debut at UFC 93 in Dublin, Ireland. The American Top Team fighter will be squaring off against Alan Belcher at the O2 Arena on January 17th. Kang just signed a four-fight contract with the UFC early last week, and they wasted no time in getting him acclimated.

Belcher  holds a 13-5 professional MMA record, however is only 4-3 inside the Octagon. He was victorious in his last bout against Ed Herman at UFC Fight Night 15 in September. Kang will be the most accomplished MMA fighter that he has faced to date.

Kang, regarded as many as one of the most well-rounded 185-pounders in the world, has struggled in his last six bouts, going an meger 3-3. However the striker still holds an impressive 31-10-1 overall professional record. In addition, the majority of the fighter’s bouts have come overseas against Japan’s rich pool of talent.

MMAonTap.com reports that the bout agreements have been distributed to both fighters, however Belcher has already signed his. A formal announcement regarding Kang’s UFC debut should be made shortly by the organization.
