UFC middleweights Jason MacDonald and Wilson Gouveia will be facing off at the UFC’s “The Ultimate Fighters 8” Finale on December 13th at the Pearl inside of the Palms Hotel And Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will feature the four finalists from this season’s “TUF” show. The UFC will grant the lightweight and light heavyweight winner a six-figure contract with the organization.
Gouveia holds an impressive 5-2 record in the UFC, and a win here would certainly help him climb the rankings in the UFC’s weakest division. He was last seen submitting Ryan Jensen in the 2ndRound of their “UFC Fight Night 15” bout in September.
MacDonald has posted a 5-3 record within the Octagon cages, and at one point was considered to be one of the division’s top contenders. MacDonald has experienced great success with the lesser skilled fighters in the division, however has posted his worst performances against the division’s elite. This will be MacDonald’s first fight after signing a four-fight extension with the UFC in September.
The Canadian has won three of his last five fights, with his most recent coming against Jason Lambert at UFC 88.
