The Nevada State Athletic Commission released the medical suspensions stemming from Saturday night’s UFC 91 event, which was held at the MGM Grand Garden Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Commission suspended a total of seven competitors, including main event fighters Brock Lesnar and Randy Couture, for injuries sustained during their bouts on Saturday.

Lesnar, who TKO’ed Couture in the 2ndRound to become the new UFC heavyweight champion, is suspended until December 16th, with no contact during training until December 7th, for precautionary reasons.

Couture has been suspended until January 15th, with no contact until December 31st, for precautionary reasons as well.

These next two may have earned Fight of the Night honors, but they also earned themselves some extended time on the sidelines. Aaron Riley, who defeated Jorge Gurgel via unanimous decision, has been suspended until December 16th, with no contact until December 7th, for precautionary reasons.

Gurgel still needs an MRI on his left shoulder and an X-ray on his right ankle. Depending on how those tests come back, Gurgel could be suspended until May 15th, unless he is cleared earlier by an orthopedic doctor.

Josh Hendricks, who was TKO’ed by Gabriel Gonzaga in 61 seconds, was suspended until December 16th, with no contact until December 7th, for precautionary reasons.

Tamdan McCrory, who was the latest to become a submission victim of Dustin Hazelett, is suspended until May 15th, unless he is cleared by a doctor before then, if X-rays on his right foot and ankle come back positive.
