Sources from within the UFC have confirmed that UFC 114 and the second annual UFC Fan Expo will indeed be held on the same May 28th weekend, however at separate venues on the Las Vegas Strip.

MMAJunkie was the first to report on the location change for UFC 114, which was originally thought to be held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, however has been moved a little bit further down the strip to the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The UFC Fan Expo 2010 will still take place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.

UFC President Dana White professed that the first Fan Expo was a huge success last July and had upwards of 50,000 attendees over the course of the UFC 100 weekend.

UFC Fan Expo 2010 will take place on Friday and Saturday, May 28-29th, and serve as a lead-in for the pay-per-view broadcast on Saturday night.

UFC 114 is expected to be headlined by the highly-anticipated light heavyweight showdown between last season’s coaches on the “The Ultimate Fighter,” Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Rashad Evans.

Thankfully, Rampage decided to end his brief “retirement” from MMA to settle the score with his bitter rival once and for all.

There is also an outside chance that UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar could compete on the 29th as well, although its unlikely due to the fact that his potential opponents would be on a short turnaround from their respective bouts.

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will face Cain Velasquez at UFC 110 on February 20th while Frank Mir will take on Shane Carwin to determine an interim heavyweight champion at UFC 111 on March 27th.
