With Chuck Liddell apparently out of the picture for Anderson Silva, it seems as though he’ll have a crack at another UFC light heavyweight. It is being reported that Silva may end up fighting the loser from either the Rashad Evans vs. Forrest Griffin or Wanderlei Silva vs. Quinton Jackson fights.
Either way, it would seem as though the UFC is seriously considering a run for Silva to become a champion in two weight classes as he would be seriously stepping up in compettition at the 205lbs. division.
The potential bout would take place at the 02 Arena in February, barring any serious injuries. All four potential light heavyweights are set to compete at UFC 92 on December 27th as part of the UFC’s New Year’s card.
It is already assumed that the winner of the Quinton Jackson vs. Wanderlei Silva fight would get the winner of the light heavyweight title fight between Forrest Griffin and Rashad Evans.
