According to Bill Douglas, the assistant executive director for the California State Athletic Commission, none of the fighters that competed on last weekend’s Strikeforce “Destruction” event were subject to drug tests of any sort. The CSAC is currently in the process of revamping the state’s drug screening process, and decided to cancel testing for the event.
MMAWeekly.com was the first to report on the CSAC’s decision not to screen the fighters. Douglas stated that he expects the state to resume testing again by next week.
It is unknown whether the fighters had prior knowledge of the CSAC’s decision to cancel all drug testing before they competed in their fights.
