Two Bouts Added for UFC 93

MMA veteran Jeremy Horn has been added to the UFC 93 event in Dublin, Ireland. Although he has lost two consecutive bouts in the UFC, he was granted another opportunity to redeem himself against Rousimar Palhares. Joining these two at the O2 Arena will be Tomasz Drwal taking on Ivan Serati, who will be making his UFC debut.

The Horn and Palhares bout should be particularly interesting, as both fighters are Brazilian Jiu Jitsu wizards.

In his eight professional victories, Palhares has submitted six of his opponents. However, the Brazilian Top Team fighter is coming off a loss to Dan Henderson at UFC 88.

Horn, who has over 100 professional MMA fights, has been on the tail end of his fighting career for quite some time. As likable as he is, a third consecutive loss in the UFC would certainly have him on the chopping block.

This will be Drwal’s second Octagon appearance, as he was last seem being TKO’d by Thiago Silva at UFC 75. That bout was back in September of 2007, and he hasn’t had a professional fight since.

Serati holds a 10-2 professional record, all coming for C-level organizations. His most notable opponent to date was former UFC light heavyweight champion Vitor Belfort, who TKO’d Serati in April of 2007.

MMAJunkie.com was the first to report these two additions to UFC 93.
