The UFC has officially confirmed the addition of nine bouts to their UFC 93 event, including main event fighters Rich Franklin and Dan Henderson. The January 17th card will be the promotion’s first-ever event in Ireland, and will be held at the O2 Arena in Dublin.

In addition to the Franklin-Henderson bout, former top ranked light heavyweight Mauricio “Shogun” Rua will make his long awaited return to the Octagon. He lost in his UFC debut to Forrest Griffin at UFC 76 in September of 2007. He has since been recovering from knee surgery, but is now ready for action.

He will be granted a rematch against MMA veteran Mark Coleman, who upset the Brazilian at Pride 31 in 2006, when Shogun freakishly broke his arm while planting it on the mat. The fight was immediately stopped, and Shogun has been chomping at the bit for a rematch ever since.

The UFC also confirmed that newly signed middleweight Denis Kang will be taking on Alan Belcher, Andre Gusmao will face Antonio Mendes, Marcus Davis will battle Chris Lytle, Jeremy Horn will compete in a grappling war against Rouismar Palhares, Tomasz Drwal takes on Ivan Serati, and Tom Egan challenges John Hathaway.
