After collecting a much-needed Octagon victory at UFC 110 on Saturday night, Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic called out MMA’s biggest badass. No, not Fedor Emelianenko. The Croatian went after UFC president Dana White.
Hours after earning a TKO victor over last-minute replacement Anthony Perosh inside the Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia, CC was asked who he would like to face in his next outing.
Cro Cop, who normally showcases the personality of an oven mitt, responded with the typical, “anyone, anytime, anywhere” schpeel, however capped it off by challenging the UFC’s head honcho to a scrap.
“It’s not up to me, I will fight whoever the UFC puts in front of me. If it was up to me, I want to fight Dana White,” Filipovic sarcastically said.
Although he’s well aware that White was an amateur boxer back in the day, Cro Cop jokingly went on to trash talk his boss’ lack of combat skills.
“I think it would be easy money for me, but I don’t know,” CC said with a smile.
The heavyweight was slated to face Ben Rothwell on Saturday night, however he was forced out at the 11th-hour with an illness. Cro Cop says that he would welcome a future fight against the vet, even if it comes before he can get his hands on White.
