Former UFC lightweight champion and current MMA guru, Pat Miletich entered the cage to fight on Thursday night for the first time in over two years. The 40-year-old seemed to have time travel back twenty years, as he looked sharper and quicker than the younger Thomas Denny, knocking out the youngster in the 2ndRound.
“They say the last thing to go when you’re old is your power,” Miletich stated in his post fight interview. “That’s all I was looking for was to land heavy shots and hurt him.”
The creator of Miletich Fighting Systems, regarded as one of the best MMA gyms in the world, appears to be happy just doing what he does best once again.
“It just feels good,” Miletich said. “To be honest with you, win, lose or draw I was saying to myself backstage, ‘I accomplished something just getting back in to the shape I am.’ I’m an old guy, but these young guys motivate me. I love every one of them at my gym.”
Last night’s Adrenaline MMA event took place at the i wireless Center in Moline, Illinois. It was the organization’s second ever MMA promotion.
