Spike TV has just announced they will resume their popular “UFC Prelims” lead-in show for the “UFC 111: St-Pierre vs. Hardy” pay-per-view broadcast on March 27th.

The hour-long show will feature two live preliminary bouts, the 170-pound clash between Ricardo Almeida and Matt Brown, as well as the UFC welterweight debut of Nate Diaz as he meets Rory Markham.

The UFC first offered the teaser for UFC 103 in September to help promote the struggling fight card, however the special proved to be an effective means in generating last-minute pay-per-view buys.

March 27th’s “UFC Prelims” broadcast will mark the third of 10 shows the UFC and Spike TV have planned for 2010. UFC 109, the last preliminary freebie run by the edgy network, garnered a series-high 1.7 million viewers.

Here are the fighters expected for the UFC’s return to New Jersey:

Preliminary Bouts:

Ricardo Funch vs Matt Riddle
Thomas Drwal vs. Rousimar Palhares
Rodney Wallace vs. Jared Hamman
Kurt Pellegrino vs. Fabricio Camoes

Spike TV 6PM ET/9PM PT

Ricardo Almeida vs. Matt Brown
Nate Diaz vs. Rory Markham

Main Bouts:

Mark Bocek vs. Jim Miller
Jake Ellenberger vs. Ben Saunders
Thiago Alves vs. Jon Fitch
Shane Carwin vs. Frank Mir (UFC Interim Heavyweight Title)
Dan Hardy vs. Georges St-Pierre (UFC Welterweight Champion)
