"TUF 8" Finale Salaries Released

The UFC released the salaries for all of the fighters that competed on last night’s “The Ultimate Fighter 8 Finale.” Despite having to fork over 20% of his purse to Jason MacDonald for not making weight for their middleweight bout, Wilson Gouveia walked away with the night’s largest salary of $36,800.  The total disclosed payroll for the event was $289,000.

Although Gouveia’s salary was the night’s highest, due to his special performance, welterweight Anthony Johnson actually was the night’s largest earner due to the additional $25,000 Knockout of the Night Bonus he received in his win over Kevin Burns. Johnson left the Palms Hotel and Resort with a total of $43,000 for his efforts.
