As the Ultimate Fighting Championship continues their growth into 2010, the promotion and NCM Fathom have announced an agreement that will allow 300 movie theaters nationwide to show UFC pay-per-view events in HD.

“This is an opportunity to provide our fans with another cool way to watch UFC programming on the big-screen, live, in high-def and in surround sound,” UFC president Dana White said.

The first event on the silver screen will be “UFC 111: St-Pierre vs. Hardy” which will emanate from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on March 27th.

NCM Fathom works with popular movie theater chains like AMC Entertainment Inc., Cinemark Holdings, Inc. and Regal Entertainment Group.

UFC 111 is headlined by a UFC welterweight title bout between champion Georges St-Pierre and challenger Dan Hardy and will also feature a co-main event featuring Shane Carwin and Frank Mir to determine the #1 contender to Brock Lesnar’s heavyweight title.
