Exciting lightweight Clay Guida announced that he has just signed a four-fight contract extension with the UFC. Although Guida has only posted a modest 4-3 record inside of the Octagon, two of his losses have come at the hands of Roger Huerta and Tyson Griffin, who are among the division’s best.  However, Guida has created quite the cult following as he is one of the division’s most popular and electric fighters.

The 155-pounder confirmed his contract extension with MMAWeekly.com, and that he will be facing former “The Ultimate Fighter 5” champion Nate Diaz at UFC 94 on January 31st.

Guida was victorious over “TUF 6” champion Mac Danzig in his last UFC outing at Fight Night 15 back in September.

The Hellhouse fighter will be taking his two-fight winning streak into the cage against one of the division’s best Brazilizn Jiu Jitsu fighters. The Cesar Gracie trained Diaz has posted a perfect 5-0 record inside the Octagon, and is one of the division’s fastest rising stars.

Diaz’ last fight also came on the Fight Night 15 card, where he defeated Josh Neer in a very close split decision.
