"Seven months later Overeem fought in June for DREAM 4 at 240, September for DREAM 6 at 241 and then came back for the K-1 Dynamite event at 253. They don’t drug test in Japan.
Its called cutting weight to make 205 the fighter isn't actually 205 pounds in the few days before the fight they will cut down to 220-215 then just not drink for a period of time and sweat out ten pounds of water. They then rehydrate and eat so they are at around 215-220 by fight time. He might use roids its impossible to tell because there is a legitament point to be made that Japan pays better than the states when it comes to mma.

Yes I do agree that the photos start from 2003, did her weigh 205 in 2003?

I came across this and I thought it might be of interest.....

Overeem fought three times in the states in 2006 and 2007.

He fought for Strikeforce in 2006 against Vitor Belfort at 210lb.

Then twice in 2007: Feb. 24 Pride 33 v. Shogun Rua at 205lb and Nov. 16 Strikeforce v. Paul Buentello at 224.

He passed all those drug tests.

Should a red flag go up?

That's one hell of a lot of weight to put on, whilst still training in MMA and not just purely focussing on lifting weights.

Dear Fans:

My name is Alistair Overeem currently known as Ubereem.

As you know I have undergone huge transformations throughout my career. But fear not. I don't take steroids, I just transform into my real self.

Here is my transformation stages:

Undereem: A light fighter who relies on speed, agility, and reach. This is my first stage. Weight: 205lbs

Overeem: A heavy fighter who relies on speed, agility, and power. You've seen me use this stage against Sergei Kharitonov and Werdum. Weight: 230lbs

Ubereem: A final stage of my transformation that turns me into a battleship. My nuts become juggernuts. In this stage my mission is to destroy things by using my massive size and ridiculous power. You've seen me use this recently against Fujita. Weight: 260lbs.

I am currently working on a new stage that transcends the Ubereem stage. It is called Supereem. I would have to cut down to 265lbs to make it to the UFC. On fight night I would be 280lbs. I would dwarf Lesnar. In fact, if he gets into my thai-clinch, he would get killed by my supereem knees.

I could also kill Fedor in the Supereem stage. Fedor is very short and his head will be in the perfect position for me to simply raise my knees and stamp his head.

I don't do steroids. Rather I have a special form of diet. First, I eat Horse, Tigers, Bears, and Elephant dicks. I make sure that these animals are fed steroids. I pump them up to a degree they can't walk anymore. Then I just eat them raw.

I dont think he's definately on roids, I put on 9 lbs of muscle going from 187 to 196 in just 3 weeks by eating 6-8 times a day adding 100 grams of protien to my diet, if you work out like a maniac and get the protien your body will change fast.

Overeem was a light heavyweight, now he's bordering super heavyweight. There's a massive size difference, see Barry Bonds for details.

Frank Mir was already a heavyweight and just changed his training to gain the bulk.

In all fairness - those photos start at 2003. It's 2010, seven years later. Is it possible to bulk up that much in seven years? I think so. Frank Mir has put on 20 lbs of muscle in a short period of time and will be tested for the Carwin fight..showing that it's possible. Brock Lesnar will be putting on the weight that he lost due to illness - somewhere around the 40lb mark. That being said, I agree with SmootheBP - we'd all be surprised with what we would find if the UFC tested everyone. Is it fair that Fedor is asking...not sure that I like that precedent because it could open up the flood gates for tons of fighters doing the same thing and having fights much harder to set up (Like boxing), but I also agree that everyone should be on the same playing field.

Drug testing in the US is definitely a lot stricter, that could be a reason why Overeem stays in Japan. Or maybe Strikeforce hasn't really offered him a fight that he wants to come back for. He's mentioned that he wants to fight Fedor but now we know the requirements Fedor will ask for before he approves a fight.

The picture timeline above does show a lot but he's innocent until proven guilty.
