UFC newcomer Jake Rosholt will make his debut on February 7th against veteran Alessio Sakara at UFC Fight Night 17. Rosholt is one of the first WEC fighters to migrate over to the UFC after the organization decided to eliminate their middleweight and light heavyweight divisions.
Although Rosholt was an All-American wrestler at Oklahoma State University, he seems to have made a smooth transition into MMA. The middleweight has been able to finish all five of his bouts before the final bell, posting four (T)KOs and one submission victory.
Sakara has had his ups and downs since entering the UFC in 2005. He has a 4-4 record inside of the Octagon, however has never won consecutive bouts. He holds a 13-7 overall record.
