Although Phillipe Nover sufferred a disappointing loss to Efrain Escudero in “The Ultimate Fighter” finale a few weeks back, the lightweight is extremely anxious to get back and prove Dana White right. “I got this fire in me and it’s possible that I will be fighting by March,” Nover said in a recent interview with FightHype.
Nover was a big favorite heading into his “Ultimate Fighter” Finale fight with Escudero, but he was unable to get past Escudero’s wrestling abilities and use his striking.
Left without the UFC’s guaranteed six-figure contract, Nover will have to work to keep his spot in the UFC everytime he fights. That’s nothing new to him though as he’s been a full-time nurse and fighting full-time for years.
If Nover does fight in March, it would most likely be at UFC 96.
