After announcing that they were on the cusp of finalizing a television deal and/or internet broadcasting deal with Event Magic.tv,  Fight Entertainment Group (FEG) was unable to secure a contract with the Japanese company, therefore New Year’s Eve’s “K-1 DYNAMITE!! 2008” event will not be aired live in the U.S.

Jeremy Ta’kody of EventMagic.tv posted a thread on the Underground Monday afternoon stating that the two sides were unable to reach an agreement:

Unfortunately we will not be streaming K-1 Premium Dynamite!! 08 live.

I tried everything I could to get this event live as a world wide internet ppv broadcast.

In the end it came down to not being able to connect up a second satellite to redirect the live feed from Japan to our encoding facility in Vegas.

FEG did everything they could to make this happen, in the end it came down to a mixture of last minute preperation and difficult timing in booking a second satellite.

Mike Kogan of FEG USA stated that the company had also attempted to air the event on HDNet, but programming deadlines were missed while negotiations with EventMagic.tv dragged on.

“So unfortunately as of right now, there is no preferred way to watch this event at all,” Kogan told MMAFighting.com.

According to Ta’kody, Dynamite!! 2008 will be available on DVD and HD-quality video on demand Pay-Per-View beginning January 6th.

The 19-fight card will be taking place at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
