5thRound.com was LIVE on location at the Mandalay Bay Event Center in Las Vegas, NV as all of the competitors scheduled to fight tomorrow at UFC 79 Nemesis hit the scales. There was definitely more electricity in the air for these weigh-ins compared to past UFC events, with the fans fully aware that this fight card could possibly be the best UFC promotion of the year.  The weigh-ins went on without a hitch, that was until Chuck Liddell and Wanderlei Silva squared off. Check out the results from today’s weigh-ins:

Main Events:

Matt Hughes (170)vs. Georges St. Pierre(170)

Chuck Liddell (204) vs. Wanderlei Silva (205)
Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (205) vs. Lyoto Machida (204)
Rich Clementi (155) vs. Melvin Guillard (156)
Eddie Sanchez (239) vs. Soa Palalei (262)

Preliminary Bouts:

James Irvin (205) vs. Luis Cane (205)
Manny Gamburyan (155) vs. Nate Mohr (155)
Dean Lister (186) vs. Jordan Radev (185)
Roan Carneiro (170) vs. Tony DeSouza (170)
Doug Evans (154) vs. Mark Bocek (155)

There was a small incident between Liddell and Silva as they squared off with one another. As Silva and Liddell stared dead into each other’s eyes, Silva made a flinching move as if he was going to rush Liddell, as Liddell backed away, he flipped Silva off and needed to be separated as they headed their separate ways.
