Former UFC middleweight top contender David Loiseau will be making his long-awaited return to the Octagon at UFC 97 in front of his home countrymen in Montreal, Canada. “The Crow” will be taking on former “The Ultimate Fighter 3” finalist Ed Herman.
After a two-year hiatus, Loiseau looks to rejuvenate his MMA career in a talent deprived 185-pound UFC division. He has won three of his last four bouts, and is currently riding a three-fight winning streak.
His last appearance in the Octagon was a unanimous decision loss to Mike Swick at UFC 63 back in 2006.
After generating much hype on the hit reality show, Herman’s UFC tenure is the epitome of a roller coaster career. He lost to Kendall Grove in the finals and then lost to Jason MacDonald, however was able to rebound nicely with three consecutive wins.
His streak ended there as Herman went on to drop his next two bouts, including his last to Alan Belcher at “UFC Fight Night 15.”
UFC 97 is scheduled to take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada on April 18th.
