UFC middleweight Dan Miller will be stepping in for the injured Alessio Sakara to face former WEC fighter Jake Rosholt at “UFC Fight Night 17” on February 7th at the USF Sun Dome in Tampa, Florida. This will be the second time that Miller has stepped up on short notice for the UFC.

According to Sakara’s camp, he injured his shoulder during training and will be forced to sit out for at least one month.

Miller was victorious in his UFC debut against Rob Kimmons at “UFC Fight Night 15,” then made a quick turnaround just one month later to defeat Matt Horwich at UFC 90 in Chicago.

The 27-year-old Miller holds an impressive 10-1 professional record, and has added much needed depth and excitement to the UFC’s middleweight division.
