It appears that Keith Jardine will make his return to the Octagon on April 18th at UFC 97 against Luis Cane. The event will be taking place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. The card will mark the second ever UFC promotion held in Canada.

Jardine has had an up-and-down UFC career, posting a 6-3 record. The Jackson Submission trained fighter has not been able to compile more than two consecutive wins inside the Octagon, however remains one of the division’s most dangerous opponents.

Cane currently holds a 9-1 professional record, including his impressive 2ndRound TKO over Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou at UFC 89. The Brazilian has been quickly moving up the rankings, finishing off all of his opponents before the final bell in his wins.

In fact, Cane’s only professional blemish came from a disqualification when he landed an illegal knee to James Irvin’s head at UFC 79.

MMAJunkie.com confirmed that both fighters have verbally agreed to the bout, however fight agreements have yet to be signed.

Here are the fighers Rumored to be competing in front of the Canadian fans at the Bell Centre:

Keith Jardine vs. Luis Cane
