WEC welterweight champion Carlos Condit will be taking on Brock Larson at WEC 39 on March 1st. Condit already successfully defended his title against Larson at WEC 29, however Larson has rebounded nicely from that loss to earn himself another shot at the strap.
Since their bout in August of 2007, Larson has won three consecutive bouts, including his 1stRound TKO victory over Carlo Prater at WEC 35.
This will be Condit’s fourth WEC title defense. He looked exceptional in his win over Hiromitsu Miura at that same WEC 35 event.
MMAWeekly.com confirmed the bout with sources close to the situation. It was reported that both fighters were handed fight contracts, and have verbally agreed to the bout.
This bout will be the co-main event along with WEC featherweight champion Mike Brown making his first ever title defense against Leonard Garcia.
