IFL World Grand Prix Results

With so much hype and excitement around UFC 79: Nemesis, many people forgot that the IFL had a good card on HDNet also. The IFL crowned five new champions to join IFL Light Heavyweight Champion Vladimir Matyushenko. There were knockouts, upsets, submissions, what more could you ask for? Last night’s IFL event shows that there are a lot of changes in the upcoming season for the IFL, as the production of the show itself was much better than past IFL events, but let’s get to the results!

Marcello Salazar def. Alex Cook by Unanimous Decision

Brett Cooper def. Rory Markham by TKO in the 2nd Round

Tim Kennedy def. Elias Rivera by KO in the 1st Round

Roy Nelson def. Antoine Jaoude by TKO in the 2nd Round to become the new IFL Heavyweight Champion

Wagnney Fabiano def. L.C. Davis by Submission in the 1st Round to become the new IFL Featherweight Champion

Jay Hieron def. Delson Heleno by TKO in the 1st Round to become the new IFL Welterweight Champion

Matt Horwich def. Benji Radach by TKO in the 2nd Round to become the new IFL Middleweight Champion

Ryan Schultz def. Chris Horodecki by TKO in the 1st Round to become the new IFL Lightweight Champion
