With only three confirmed bouts on their upcoming CBS card, Strikeforce is expected to announce that Bobby Lashley will return to the cage to round out the televised portion of the event.

MMAJunkie is reporting that sources close to the promotion confirmed that Lashley will be added to “Strikeforce: Nashville,” which should help spark even more interest to an already star-studded night of fights.

Since the addition is still fresh, no opponent has been mentioned as of yet, but we should expect to hear something within the coming days.

Lashley recently spoke to our friends at FightLine and said he was approached about possibly fighting on April 17th but hasn’t heard back since.

“The only thing I ever got was a note that said, ‘How about April 17th?’ and that was it. I responded back ‘Yes’ and that was a couple of weeks ago. I haven’t heard nothing else, no opponents or anything,” the former pro wrestler confirmed.

Former UFC fighter Dan Henderson will be making his Strikeforce debut and is on tap to challenge Jake Shields for his middleweight title in what could be Shields’ last bout under the Strikeforce banner.

We’ll also get to see Gegard Mousasi put his light heavyweight title on the line against Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal as well as a lightweight showdown between champion Gilbert Melendez and Dream champion Shinya Aoki.
