Former IFL sensation Chris Horodecki has been pulled from Saturday’s “Day of Reckoning” bout against Dan Lauzo. According to Affliction vice president Tom Atencio, Horodecki was unable to receive medical clearance from the California State Athletic Commission.

According to sources close to the situation, Horodecki lacks 80 percent strength in his right arm due to a bulging disk in his neck.

Atencio stated that he is looking for a last-minute replacement for the up-and-coming lightweight, however it will be extremely difficult to find a substitute anywhere near the caliber of the young Canadian.

Affliction’s second ever MMA event will be taking place this Saturday at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. The preliminary bouts can be seen for free on HDNet at 7:30PM EST,  and the main bouts will be available on pay-per-view at 9PM EST.
