MMA newcomer Bobby Green has agreed to be a last-minute replacement for Chris Horodecki and face Dan Lauzon at Saturday’s “Day of Reckoning” event. Green needs to pass all of the California State Athletic Commission’s medical and clerical requirements, which Horodecki was unable to do, before he is officially added to the card.
Affliction vice president Tom Atencio announced yesterday that the CSAC forced Horodecki to withdraw from the event. It was later confirmed that the Canadian was lacking 80 percent strength in his right arm due to a bulging disk in his neck.
The little known Green currently holds a 7-1 professional record, and is riding a five fight winning streak.
Sherdog.com was the first to report Green’s participation at the event.
