WEC 38 took place tonight at the San Diego Sports Arena in San Diego, California. In the co-main event, former WEC featherweight champion Urijah Faber submitted Jens Pulver in the 1stRound of their matchup, and WEC lightweight champion Jaime Varner controversially defeated Donald Cerrone in the night’s main event.

Under the regulations of the California State Athletic Commission, a fight will automatically go to the score cards when unintentional strikes leave a fighter unable to continue.
