2ndRound: Parisyan attempts a kimura but Kim is able to get back up to his feet as Parisyan once again loses his mouthpiece. While up against the cage, Parisyan is able to score a strong judo throw to land in side control until Kim is able to get back up to his feet.

Jon Jones def. Stephan Bonnar via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28)

1stRound: As the fight begins, Jones starts off by showing his kicking skills as Bonnar quickly closes the distance. Bonnar is at the losing end of a judo throw but is able to work his way back to his feet. Jones takes Bonnar’s back as he gets German suplexed before he’s able to get back up to his feet where he ate a back elbow that dropped Bonnar but Bonnar was able to recover. Jones lands a knee to Bonnar’s face as the round ends.

2ndRound: Jones is dominating the stand-up and clinch as Bonnar is still trying to find his way in against the much more athletic Jones. After some stand-up action, Jones ends up in Bonnar’s half-guard and is controlling the UFC veteran. Bonnar attempts to mount a rally with a couple of nice punches but Jones maintains his composure with Bonnar working his dirty boxing.

3rdRound: Bonnar is starting to push it offensively but Jones once again lands a knee on Bonnar’s face. It looks as though Jones is starting to gas out with Bonnar pushing up against him and eventually getting taken down. Bonnar has no answer for Jones’ athleticism as the round comes to and end.

Lyoto Machida def. Thiago Silva (206) via KO at 4:59 in the 1stRound

1stRound: The fight starts with both fighters trying to gauge each other’s striking ability. A low blow by Machida quickly stops the fight as Silva regains his composure. With both fighters back on their feet, Machida drops Silva again with a straight right. As the round ends, Machida throws Silva to the ground and lands a right hand to Silva’s face that bounces Silva’s head off the mat and knocks him out.

Georges St-Pierre def. BJ Penn via Doctor’s Stoppage at the end of the 4thRound

1stRound: The fight starts out in the clinch as it is immediately apparent that St-Pierre has a decent height advantage. Penn is able to use his flexibility to defend St-Pierre’s single-leg takedown attempt. St-Pierre lands an overhand right but Penn is able to shake it off. An overhand right and a jab by St-Pierre puhses Penn back but St-Pierre is still unable to take Penn down.

2ndRound: St-Pierre once again rushes into Penn and lands a nice elbow and attempt to grab one of Penn’s legs and finally scores a takedown. Penn immediately pushes for a rubber guard as St-Pierre lands and elbow to Penn’s face. St-Pierre is starting to pound on Penn’s face as he passes into side control. As Penn is able to get St-Pierre back into his full-guard, he eats another St-Pierre punch. Penn eats another couple of St-Pierre elbows as a cut opens up under Penn’s left eye.

3rdRound: St-Pierre starts with a Superman punch as Penn’s nose is bleeding. Penn has no answer for St-Pierre’s speed and conditioning. St-Pierre scores another hard earned takedown on Penn and ends up in Penn’s half-guard. St-Pierre begins to ground-and-pound Penn in full-guard but Penn is able to push St-Pierre back up to his feet. Penn is unable to score a takedown. St-Pierre scores another takedown up against the Octagon cage and beings to land a couple of big elbows to Penn’s face.

4thRound: St-Pierre once again takes the center of the Octagon and scores another double-leg takedown and ends up in side control. St-Pierre looks as though he’s starting to break Penn’s will with Penn in the crucifix position until he squirms his arms out. It seems as though another era of ground-and-pound has come with Penn defenseless against St-Pierre’s domination. With St-Pierre pouring it on in the last :20 seconds, Penn holds on to make it to the 5thRound, until Penn’s corner calls the fight off with Penn unable to muster enough energy to continue.
